Hillsborough
Every Liverpool fan should be aware of the horrific events of April 1989 and the aftermath: it had a profound effect on the club, its players, the fans and the city that echoes to this day.
- The Wikipedia page is pretty balanced, has a number of good links and is a good start to understanding the tragedy. A BBC Timeline might also be useful.
- ESPN did a good documentary about Hillsborough in their 30 for 30 series
- David Conn of the Guardian has been the best journalist covering Hillsborough. This is his 2021 article about the legal aftermath.
- And remember Don't Buy the Sun "newspaper". Please don't link to articles in the S*n. Don't ever forward articles in the S*n. They are scum. Here's why. Don't Buy the Sun
